Generally, yes. A composite slab is thicker and far more rigid than a standard uPVC panel door, so it resists impact much better, and the hardware we pair with it is a step up too. A uPVC door with a basic cylinder is a much easier target.

Lock snapping is a break-in method where the exposed part of a standard euro cylinder is snapped off to expose the mechanism. Anti-snap cylinders have sacrificial sections and reinforcement that defeat it. We consider them essential on any front door, and they come as standard on our composite doors.

We replace the frame as part of the job rather than hanging a new slab in tired old timber or uPVC. A new reinforced frame, fixed properly to the brickwork, is a big part of what makes the finished door secure. It is all included in your quote.

Not when done properly. The glass units are internally beaded, so they cannot be popped out from outside, and obscure or laminated glass options are available if you want extra privacy or strength. You do not have to choose between light in your hallway and a secure door.
